Harkess-Ord has partnered Waitrose through the last two identity changes and roll-out programs. Initially this meant addressing inconsistencies in brand presentation across the stores and retail network, resulting in the development of a new and unique sign system, and the provision of supporting guidelines.

Following the announcement of the latest new brand identity, Harkess-Ord were retained for all aspects of design and implementation, as well as support for the Waitrose Project Management Teams as the new logo and sign system was applied across the network.

Our Role

Our role included; strategic planning, site audits, store signage design, signage product development as well as the coordination of the many stakeholders.  This included Waitrose’s internal departments, external consultants, architects and construction managers to ensure key brand delivery dates dovetailed with the refresh or new store build program.
